Use Oracle Virtual Box to Make Live USB Flash Drive with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS video

I show you how to make a 1GB or larger USB Flash drive with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS preloaded on it in this video. Basically, all I did was made a new virtual machine in Virtual box, and mounted Ubuntu install live CD ISO image onto my virtual machine and also added my USB drive to my Virtual machine. Make sure your USB flash drive have at least 700MB of free space.  I started my Virtual Machine, and waited for Ubuntu to load.  Lastly, click on “Try Ubuntu 10.04 LTS” button. In System > Administration > Start up disk creator where you can make a USB live Flash drive with Ubuntu loaded on it.

The advantage of using a USB to boot your drive from a USB drive is it is not as load from the CD spinning noise since flash drives are silent and faster then loading Ubuntu from a Live CD or DVD with the Ubuntu install CD ISO burnt to it.

When booting your computer from a flash drive, make sure your computer can start from a USB flash drive and you know how to setup your BIOS boot manager to start from a bootable USB drive.
