I like FocusWriter’s fullscreen and simple user interface which is not distracting to look at because the buttons are hidden until I need to use them. It is possible to change the margin sizes, and typing space sizes. The background image/color, background color for the typing area, text color, text size, font style, and other on-screen features can be changed easily in FocusWriter.
It can also be used as a text editor, and can open and save files as TXT, basic RTF, and basic ODT files, so you can open the files which FocusWriter saves in text editors like nano, and office suites’ word processor like OpenOffice.
FocusWriter also has features like a timer, alarm, daily goals, and customizable user interface to help you stay focus, and write more per day.
You can also optionally turn on Typewriter sound effects to remind you of the past when people typed on typewriters.
FocusWriter other optional features include spellcheck, autosave, and live statistics and portable mode.
